One of the most versatile items coming from underwear brands is definitely the harness. With references to S&M culture, the harness has been adopted by the gay community as a piece of fashion accessory. Possibly, the first celebrity to incorporate a harness in their outfit and thus presenting it as an accessory to a broader audience, was Michael Jackson. Since then we have seen a handful of fashion brands getting it into their runways. In the years that followed, by trying to target the gay community, some brands presented harnesses as part of their club wear collections. Many underwear brands took advantage of the trend and used their surplus of waistband to create a basic harness that would then sell as a set to match the underwear or as a stand alone piece of accessory. What brought though the harness into the mainstream fashion, was the appearance of Timothée Chalamet in the red carpet of the Golden Globes in 2019, wearing a black bedazzled Louis Vuitton by Virgil Abloh harness.

The harness has been a part of the underwear community for many years. There have been brands who put a lot of effort and time into designing harnesses and among them is Andrew Christian. What is great about a harness is that you can wear it for play or as an accessory, on its own or over a t-shirt, a shirt or even a pullover. We are happy to show you three new harnesses we just brought in our accessories department of our shop. The harnesses are by Andrew Christian and each has its own design: FUKR Buckle Harness, MASSIVE Chain Harness and Master Ring Harness.
