Underwear review by Ethan for Men and Underwear Blog:

French finesse and very good manufacturing. It was a real pleasure for me to review the new Nautical Briefs by Bluebuck. I was lucky enough to be able to see all the new designs in Bluebuck’s Nautical collection when I recently went to Mode City in Paris, and I was eager for a chance to try them out.
At first glance the briefs look beautiful. I love the navy blue / light blue stripe. It is a classy look, but very fresh at the same time. I personally think it is Bluebuck’s excellent waistband that lifts the look of the design to a higher level. The
brand found its inspiration in Brittany and I think it is that “French touch” to their design that appealed to me. Unsurprisingly, the designer for this brand is French. The cut of the briefs is pretty classic. By that I mean that it is a high to medium rise style with wide sides. I find this cut very comfortable, especially if you are planning to work out or do some other strenuous activity, as I did. I found the leg openings a little tight (unusual for me) but not uncomfortable. The waistband is a brilliant white with dark navy blue in the centre configured in a herringbone style: another reference to Brittany maybe. The waistband is 60% cotton and is very soft against the skin – the only downside being that they did need to be adjusted slightly during wear.
As far as manufacturing goes, these briefs were very good! The pouch is double layered and its panels are rotated so the stripes at the side continue on to meet the sides and centre of the pouch, thus accentuating the front. The logo label is perfectly placed in the middle and the washing instructions label carefully placed on the inside, covering the central seam nicely and avoiding irritation. The stitching seems nice and sturdy and so is the leg piping.
These briefs look like they will last a long time. They didn’t lose their shape after being washed and the colours stayed exactly the same, a sign that the fabric was treated well before the manufacturing of the product. Overall, a great design in a classic and very comfortable style.
