It’s been almost one year since we showed you the swimwear label Zulu London. We had the chance to see and meet the brand in Paris’ fair last summer and we really liked their bold colours and creative patterns. To freshen up your memory you can check that post here.
It is a great pleasure for us to see the brand growing and this post is about their second swimwear collection which has been very recently launched. The collection is called “36 Degrees” presenting a range of men’s swimming trunks and women’s sports bra sets.
The brand’s second collection draws inspiration from Dutch wax textiles, taking the concept of “African print” further by creating original motifs in bright, primary hues created by London-based print designer Joe Hearty. All three colourways in the shorts feature a light 125gsm quick-dry fibre fabric, black mesh inner-lining and distinctive red finishing on the pocket and inner waistband.

Zulu London created a video lookbook, shot in various London locations including Kings Cross Swimming Club. It features a track by Peckham-based producer Kuro BC and was shot by director David “Hu5k4” Nwikpo. You can watch it here
Following the brand’s launch in 2014 with a collection of African-print inspired men’s boxer shorts, ’36 Degrees’ is demonstration of the brand’s commitment to combining bold international prints with both classic and streetwear cuts to create original clothing.

See below some of the conceptual images the brand had released along with the new swimwear designs. Make sure you visit’s the brand’s new website to see their current and previous collection. We have been informed there will be a men’s underwear collection coming up this Autumn, so stay tuned as we will be featuring that as well.
