The underwear brand we will show you today is Bluebuck. This is definitely brand you need to keep an eye on. We had the pleasure to have a closer look at their designs at the Salon International de la Lingerie in Paris in January and meet with Pierre David, designer and owner of the brand.
Bluebuck has been present in the men’s underwear market for quite some time. Their garments are really very interesting but what we like the most about them is that there is a clear direction, or we should better say, a vision in their design. The Bluebuck man is the man who loves the outdoors. Is the adventurer, someone who loves nature and as the brand calls it, he is unashamedly masculine. The Bluebuck man is sexy by nature and is not trying hard to look perfect. The interesting part is that this is actually translated not only in their campaigns but also into their designs. Their underwear is classy and masculine, the look is modern without being gimmicky.
The whole collection of Bluebucks comprises four underwear styles (briefs, boxers, trunks and jockstraps at selected retailers) in different colours and patterns all featuring their trademark white/blue, cotton based, herringbone waistbands. Every new collection they create has a permanent character, meaning their underwear never goes out of stock or on sale. Check out their “Classic collection” or the new “Nautical collection” with references to the Breton sailors featuring white and navy blue and of course, breton stripes!
Bluebuck’s production is a European project. The brand is based in London, the owner was born in France, the elastic waistbands are made in Austria, the labels in Italy and the fabric and manufacturing in Portugal! The cotton they use is organic and the whole supply chain manufacturing process has been designed to minimise their carbon footprint.
