It was only last year we discovered the mens underwear brand Ken Wroy. We were very excited about their Brazil Fever collection and the creativity of their garments. A year after that post it is time to show you their new collection which we think, is exceptional! Since our last post the brand has redesigned their website and expanded their collection to include basics as well as fashion forward underwear designs. What remained the same is their passion for design, colours and inspiration of places and travels.
Their newest collection is called the Great Skylines. It comprises briefs and trunks in five prints inspired by travels and the mega-urban landscapes. You will probably say: We have seen city-inspired underwear collections before so what’s new about it? You are absolutely right, we have seen many collections inspired by countries and cities, but what makes this collection by Ken Wroy stand out is that it is very literal and has a personal stamp on it. Not only they capture the landmarks and skyline of each city but they have added a little cultural humour to them. The Paris inspired trunks and briefs for example have “Je pense, donc je suis” (translation: I think, therefore I am) on them along with a prominent bottle of wine as the centre piece of Notre Dame and General Charles De Gaulle! The prints are original hand drawings of the owner of the brand Vasumathi Soundararajan who incorporated cliches and a sense of humour to each city inspired design.
Enjoy some images from the look book of the Great Skyline collection by Ken Wroy below and if you like these as much as we do, go on their website to see them all.
